Dippity Dootses. What does that mean exactly? Absolutely nothing. It’s gibberish actually. I came up with it a few months ago and now it’s just something I scream when playing Rocket League. It’s a way of saying “Dippin’ Dots” if you were Gollum from Lord of the Rings. It makes no sense, but it’s great!

So! It is Sunday, and I am going to get this blog post out TODAY. ON TIME.

How are you doing? How was your day? I hope it was a good one. It’s Sunday, which it means it’s the end of this week, but very close to a start of a new week! Is the glass half empty? Or half full? I’ll let you decide.

Today has been my 10th day without work. So, I feel pretty fantastic. I go back to work tomorrow.  But, having this time off has allowed me to do so many things! And I am very grateful for that. Not only was I fortunately enough to get away to New Orleans and Florida for a week, I was able to hit a birthday gathering and a wedding. Even though it was all time off, I spent a lot of that time working at home so I’m pretty beat. But not beat enough to write! Enough talk! How about some pictures from vacation?

These are pictures from the drive there! First picture I took with the GoPro and the iPhone app.

Not only did I get some great pictures, I got a SHIT ton of video as well. As a matter of fact, 60gb of video. All from the GoPro. From what I can tell, the GoPro did a good job. I just got my hands on a few different LUT packs fort color grading the footage in Adobe Premier. I tested a few different LUT’s on the beach footage I got and it’s SO COOL. Color grading is something that I know nothing about, and I should most likely set aside some time for learning how to do it. But, what better way to learn that jump in and start changing stuff around!

So what else has been up this week? Well, I overhauled the YouTube channel with a crap ton of new thumbnails. If you would like to check them out, you can do so here. From what I have heard from a lot of big YouTubers, clean and legible thumbnails are key. I tend to agree. I also think that it’s attention to detail. I went with a theme that had a visual similarities, so one could see a thumbnail and got an idea for what is was, before they even clicked it. Let me know what you think!

One thing I wanted to touch on before I got out of here. I was listening to IT in the D, a podcast about technology in Detroit, and they had some dudes on from Batch Brewing Company. They were talking about idea called the Feelgood Tap (click to read all about it!). Every month, this particular brewery pairs with a different local non-profit organization. The FeelGood Tap is a single tap of beer, where $2 of every beer sold goes right to that charitable organization.

HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT?!

So I thought that this was the end of the idea. However, the fellas over at Batch started talking about having FeelGood taps all over metro detroit and the surround counties. A bar could sponsor the tap, and put whichever Batch beer they had on tap. But, that beer can change any time. So, any one person is able to go into these brewery and bars and say “What do you have on the FeelGood tap today?”. So not only do you get a beautiful tasting beer, you’re helping out a great cause. I thought that was such an amazing idea. I just pictured future gaming events where we could sell beer to help out a local charity. The ideas are flowing!

Well, i’m going to finish off this blog with a few more pictures from our trip. I don’t know why, but I took 10x more pictures in New Orleans than I did in Florida. I only got 1 good picture in Florida! But, I did get some awesome Boomerangs. If you don’t know what Boomerang is, check that out here. Also. Dippity Dootses.
